Dr. John Kayode Fayemi
Advocate, minister, two-time governor, national convener
Nigerian scholar-statesman and two-term Governor of Ekiti State (2010–2014; 2018–2022), a former Minister of Mines and Steel Development (2015–2018), and past chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum. He holds a PhD in War Studies from King’s College London and is a visiting professor at its African Leadership Centre. He also serves as the pioneer president of the Forum of Regions of Africa (FORAF)

Advocate, minister
Barrister Dayo Apata, SAN, is a proud son of Isan-Ekiti and a catalyst for opportunity. Through his mentorship and advocacy, many Isan youths have secured careers across key federal and state institutions—EFCC, NSCDC, NDLEA, the Nigerian Law School, and the Ministries of Justice—boosting livelihoods and strengthening the town’s profile. His steady service and generosity continue to drive Isan-Ekiti’s growth and development.
